WNF&GA 2022 National Meeting in S.E. Michigan
PictureWNF&GA members flank statue of Matilda Dodge Wilson on the grounds of Oakland University.

The WNF&GA 2022 National Meeting was June 1 to June 4. Southeast Michigan had the pleasure of hosting this year's meeting. WNF&GA’s 2020-2022 national president Mary Schwark and the WNF&GA Executive Committee did a great job of pulling it all together. Activities included stops at Meadow Brook Hall, home of Matilda Dodge Wilson, Cranbrook House & Gardens, Oakland University, and several public and private gardens. A highlight was the installation of Patty Burnside, from Michigan's Saginaw Branch, as the 2022-2024 WNF&GA National President. WNF&GA Members came from Michigan, Ohio,  Pennsylvania and New York State to share their love of gardens and gardening.

In the photo, many of the Michigan Division members gather around a statue of Matilda Dodge Wilson on the grounds of Oakland University. Mrs. Wilson, along with her second husband Alfred, founded the university in 1957. Shown with a shovel in her hands,  'She was a groundbreaker, both literally and figuratively."
